The Ancient Moons: Their ORIGINS, Khaenri'ah & the CRIMSON MOON | Genshin impact Lore and Theories
Greetings Travelers.
We reunite today to discuss the topic of the Ancient Moon remnants discovered after the conclusion of the 5.3 Natlan Archon quest.
Have you stopped to wonder what those remnants are? Where they come from? How did they end up beyond the fake sky?
I answer these questions and cover some more, such as the Crimson Moon's true nature and how one of these Ancient Moons may have started the whole Eclipse Dynasty of Khaenri'ah.
Or maybe you didn't even pay attention to it. Some rocks.
I may or may not be late to discussions relating to this topic, but I believe I bring interesting points to the table.
As always, feel free to discuss anything mentioned in this video down in the comments, and it'll be my pleasure to engage with the different ideas you may have.

Today, I provide a full analysis on his story, his duel with Xbalanque and his possible rebirth as a playable sovereign, giving out the theory of a human form,...

Enkanomiya is iconic, but the Chasm and Deshret ruins are right up there for me in atmosphere and sense of mystery. People really sleep on the "Great Hall of Truths", one of the most stunning areas in the game. Ochkanatlan is slowly getting up there for me too.
Great picks, the Sumeru desert was one of the best times I've had exploring (Golden Slumber is an amazing quest by itself), it's a really close tie to Dragonspine for me, perhaps a tiny bit above. The Chasm felt like a unique experience with "how deep can we go?" and the structures in it, and Ochkanatlan is quite nice due to the creepy aspect of its story
interesting video
You've got my thanks Robert
It's interesting to note that the Crimson Moon suddenly appeared 500 years ago, during the cataclysm in Khaenri'ah. How do you think? (If you thought my voice was strange, blame my cold. It's definitely that)
There's a really high probability that Tsaritsa's plan involves one of the moon. With Pierro saying in Winter Nights Lazzo that Rosalyne's final resting place will be the "entirety of the old world", how Cryo gemstone says "burning away the old world" which ties into the moons saying "Until the last shadow of the ashen sun burns away the old world" and how the Crimson Moon is waiting for the "new dawn". The fact that Dottore is researching the moon fragments further points towards my theory.
I've jokingly theorized with a friend that the Tsaritsa is a Khaenri'ahn Archon due to the Shivada gemstone quote, which ties with the Abyssal Spire, like I've pointed out in the video and in the other one dedicated to Dottore and his involvement in Natlan, since the fragment is the earliest mention of an "old world". I initially brushed it off as a reference to Shiva, who in mythology causes destruction for creation of a better world, so for me the Tsaritsa's plan has always been very clear: rid the world of its current order. The moons will be needed to erase the Heavenly Principles, and much more than that, it goes really deep when we consider the Archons' names and them being inverted from the Tree of Qliphoth AND the Ars Goetia. Logically speaking, every Archon (demons in the Ars) will be faced with their counterpart as angels, but this lengthy topic deserves its own video
Is this true😮😮🎉?
this might sound weird but you have a voice made for voicing over scp videos it’s a mix between deep intriguing and inviting :)🤷♀️
Really now? I'll definitely take that as a compliment, I happen to be a huge fan of SCP content (-610 one of my favs), so thanks a lot actually!
people are having a lack of text interpretation and wanted to talk to the boss but that was not the sovereign but the abyss taking his shape it is not possible to talk to the abyss, the thing itself only spoke by rearranging the voices of the ancient pyro archons it does not have its own voice nor its own mind
Interesting, I haven't seen people wishing for this in my case but I can imagine. With just a bit of curiosity, anyone can open the archive and read that the boss we fight is the dead body of Xiuhcoatl, controlled by Gosoythoth. I've mentioned it in my story recap video, Gosoythoth manipulates past voices to cause despair (buffing the Traveler while at it) and when it gets hurt, it does show its own voice and intelligence/sentience as it speaks in an incomprehensible abyssal language, so it does have a mind of its own, but not one we can discuss with. There is no room for dialogue, Xiuhcoatl was long dead and the game directly tells us that
@@SerAoth I even saw a lot of people saying that it was disappointing because we couldn't talk to him I liken the abyss to a virus It is a genetic programming that influences the actions of it, not a reasoning in itself yes it can technically communicate but only another virus of the same type can understand it uses the body's functions to its advantage and prolongs its existence it's literally what the abyss was doing to the sovereign's body
@Keiku-kun Great analogy, I was personally comparing the Abyss' abilities to those of a parasite, its level of instincts borders sentience and intelligence due to how quick it adapts and responds to changes around it, essentially identical to a (biological) virus
Your audio balancing could use some work I can barely understand you
Yeah, I'm going to try to use a different leveling for the BGM next time so it doesn't feel like it's competing with my voice sometimes
Could you do cyno lore?
dvalin isnt confirmed to be a soverign , just a dragon and no , neuvilette isnt the hydro soverigns reincarnation , kokomi is neuvilettes constelation is leviathan while kokomis is sleeping dragon neuvilette doesnt connect at all to the hydro dragon soverign aside from being a dragon , while kokomi has possible roots in vishaps and has the constelation of a dragon while also wielding the power of hydro together with that constelation + she has way more connection to enkonomya than neuvilette
It's rare that this happens to me, but I have no idea what to tell you. Yes, Kokomi's constellation Dracaena Somnolenta is latin for sleeping dragon, but that's where it stops, I theorize they had initially planned on making her the Hydro Sovereign in my inner circle but... Neuvillette doesn't connect to the Hydro Sovereign? Did you play/finish Fontaine's AQ at all?

@MauvikaGaming FR
If pyro dragon becomes playable! I want him to be powercrept mavuika as sovereigns > archons > gods > yokai/adeptus > other different races(elvs/demi-humans) > humans
Let's hope that we'll get to see a new Neuvillette scenario. I really like the characters with HEAVY lore like him and Arlecchino powercreeping, it's deserved (not xiangling)
I find really interesting how in Mexica mythology Xiuhcoatl was a weapon held by Huitzilopochtli, but in genshin is the other way around, Huitzilopochtli is the weapon created by Xiuhcoatl. Also, something I haven't seen anyone pointing out is how in the boss battle against the Lord of Primal Fire, Xiuhcoatl transforms into stars in certain movements, which at least mythologically, I'd say it's because in Mexica beliefs Xiuhcoatl was related to the night sky and some say specifically to the constellation of the pleiades because of its relation to the 52 year cycle described in the Sun Stone Calendar. Actually, the little balls in its snout are supposed to represent stars. This may not be to useful for theory crafting, but I like how hoyo incorporates real world mythology into the game.
Interesting, I've noticed that in his movement transitions in the battle, a literal constellation shape is left behind him, and it seemed strange to me considering the whole setting of Teyvat, but now it makes sense. I had no idea, and I absolutely love learning about the mythology and folklore Hoyo borrows from everywhere, my favorite so far being how they portrayed the Samsara as well as Remus getting his own version of Roma
My sovereign… who said that??
I've seen a fair load of hate for Xiuhcoatl on reddit and his wiki page for one. I feel like people are really hating on Natlan overall, but how do you hate on a DRAGON version of Pontiff Sulyvahn?
Remember! The one thing that held Neuvillette back from being reborn was Egeria. So long as the second heart of the Primordial Sea lived, the Hydro Sovereign-the original, couldn't reincarnate. So, Xiuhcoatl could probably come back quicker than Nevuillette.
Love it, great deduction, it really makes sense. Egeria was freed from the Primordial Sea during Remuria's fall and Neuvillette was born either right after or around 1000 years later, then joined Fontaine 500 years ago. edit: correction on the events
I wouldn't be surprised If the little one became the next sovereign now that they abyss dragon ia dead.
I thought about that after the comment above, considering it has both Golden Entreaties in hand + the Flamelord's blessing and headed where Xiuhcoatl's body was, something grand is bound to happen
I hope we soon get the expansion of natlan, that active vulcano next to people of the springs maybe is where the heart of pyro sovereign is,i hope
Probably looking at it for 5.5 and expecting Mare Jivari/Nod-Krai stuff for 5.6, or so I would expect with one of my previous videos on the topic
great video, but need more clarity to the voice
I'll get there with the audio eventually... What did you feel was lacking? Overall sound quality, volume of the voice vs the music, something else?
@@SerAoth I'm going to say a combination of both your diction and the EQ/proximity to the mic making the narration sound muddy.
You know its kinda funny how Azhdaha who is most likely to be the geo sovereign suffers from Erosion, while Scylla and Waxaklahun are roaming around freely while still having their sanity. This is also the reason why im not a 100% convinced on why Azhdaha is a sovereign. I mean theres a 95% chance that he is but since "Erosion" is a rule that is imposed by The Heavenly Principles, it is wierd for a dragon like him to follow it. Since Neuvillette does say that he obeys no edict from the heavens, i thought it would be the dame for Azhdaha
Erosion affects all, but you are right on one part, it seems to be tied to Istaroth, although it is more of a mental strain than a rule. For Scylla's case, he was impacted by erosion in his own way since his form shifting is a direct consequence of the time that has passed as he was sealed, having lost what makes him a dragon. I recall he doesn't even consider himself part of dragonkind anymore because of it. For the Dragon Sage go figure what he's done to avoid it like Dain or what is face was hiding... Azhdaha's case is the most extreme one, because his was also caused and accelerated by humans digging into the Chasm, which I believe damaged the ley lines of the deep earth and directly reflected on him. He MUST be the Geo Sovereign, he's the king of vishaps in title and follows the evolution order of vishap > primo geovishap > dragon), and the boss primo vishap in game's title refers to Azhdaha
@SerAoth Erosion only affects Zhongli and some of the other archons. It has been explicitly stated, that it does not affect descenders, or beings like the dragons etc haven't stated anything on whether they are affected, or not. Scylla was not impacted by erosion, by the way. Otherwise, it would have been mentioned in the world quest. Unless I forgot that part where it is mentioned. Only archons and Azhdaha has been mentioned to suffer from erosion.
@@Elliarts54 Well... Since Azhdaha suffers from erosion, it's clear and logical that all dragons can as well, a statement isn't required. Especially with Xiuhcoatl, said to have become "old and decrepit", most likely from erosion. It is not tied to only select individuals, any longevous lifeforms, save for Descenders indeed, are subject to erosion. It does not affect them all equally, either, comparing Apep to Xiuhcoatl. Scylla doesn't literally mention "erosion", but indicates the effects of both time and seal on his present condition, matching the more lenient sides of erosion
@@Elliarts54 The only dragon that can potentially be immune is Neuvillette, because he has his authority now and is no longer bound by the rules of Celestia. But the rest cannot. Erosion is a rule, a law and order, just like the curse of immortality and death. You can fight it, you can slow it down but you cannot stop it. Ei for example was able to slow it down by putting er consciousness inside a domain and meditating and adopting a puppet and sword over an ordinary corporal form. Zhongli uses adeptal arts and studies, records and shares information. Azhdaha used the Ley Lines. Venti, some theorises that he sleeps for long periods to slow its advance. It is not known why Scylla and other dragons don't show signs of erosion but Scylla had his body long destroyed by the time we met him, so we will never know. Also Zhongli says that erosion becomes a greater threat the stronger you are, so it's very possible, they just aren't powerful enough for it to present a more significant threat.
Interesting last point you've made, erosion is known to cause anger/irritation more easily which makes the status dangerous on powerful entities, but I never considered twisting it as "high power = faster erosion". Would explain Venti's case, who chose to be weak, and dragons who aren't on aren't enough of a threat yet, or simply too young. It's not as if erosion makes EVERYONE mad instantly, someone like Apep could be on early stages of erosion like Zhongli; nothing to show for it
Neither Geo nor Anemo sovereigns are confirmed yet
That's correct for Dvalin's case especially, and that is because the concept of "sovereigns" was not established before Enkanomiya: - Azhdaha is the FIRST geo vishap and, in his prime, was the size of Nantianmen to Tianqiu Valley in length, and had absolute authority over the earth's power - Dvalin is already MASSIVE in size compared to other dragons and even dragonlords, when he was born "recently" on top of the gigantic maelstrom he causes in the prologue From these feats alone, I truly doubt they wouldn't be
@SerAoth that's a good point, all I am saying is just not confirmed, but a nice video nevertheless!
Of course, and you are correct about those facts, although I believe the wiki itself assigned Azhdaha as the Geo Sovereign when it's the same situation as Dvalin? Thanks anyhow!
@SerAoth anytime, keep up the good work my good sir.
Azhdaha is confirmed enough, he has a lot of lore pointing to it just like Apep. The only outlier is Dvalin, it's safe to say it's most likely him, we know he's part of the vishap race thanks to Enjou, Breeze Amidst the Forest tells us that just like the others, he's also one of the Ancient Elemental Dragons and Otto from Hi3 explicitly refers to Dvalin as "Teyvat's Anemo elemental dragon". Also when Traveler and Paimon talk about elemental dragons, Dvalin comes up, along with Azhdaha, Apep and Neuvillette.
Electro Sovereign save us..

It's a theory people came up with because the little one's naming script prompts the same reaction as for characters like Neuvillette... But then it also includes Xbalanque which was by no means a sovereign, I'm not too fond of that theory, that would be the weakest sovereign in existence
Who's your favorite sovereign? If I could, I'd pick Durin edit: Didn't think I'd need to specify Durin isn't a sovereign

@@Elliarts54 I am aware unfortunately, thus the "if I could". I would love to see Neuvillette's leviathan form, but I believe his story has only just begun
Wait is durin a confirmed sovereign and I had no knowledge on azdaha being a sovereign I just thought he was a dragon born from a rock
I honestly think it’s going to be both Dottore and columbina. 1. Angels were introduced in natlan for a reason 2. Dottore has been all over Natlan as well 3. They have no hope taking the gnosis by force by themselves, but together?? They definitely have a shot
Angels have actually been introduced as far back as Mondstadt, with the Drunkard's Tale, and in some parts of Sumeru (Moonpiercer and Paradise Lost for some iirc) as well as having a major role in Remuria, though it wasn't ever brought to the average player's attention by directly adding them to the AQ, which is probably what you meant. What makes you think that they would stand no chance individually at taking the Pyro Gnosis by force? Is it the fight with Capitano? Though she did beat a shadow of his former self, gotta remember that the Fatui ranking isn't a power ranking but their scouting order (looking at Arlecchino especially)
@ it’s not their scouting order, tartaglia literally states they’re ranked by strengths
@Breedable__Bread You're right, I went to check, turns out his Chinese voiceline mentions their ranking being tied to power but also their contribution to the Fatui as a whole, which explains why Arle isn't higher despite what she is
People say skirk will bring new element. But in my opinion dottore will be the one use new element
I've been assuming that based on her story. Skirk isn't just anybody, I'm sure she's going to bring new things both to the lore and in terms of gameplay. As for Dottore, I wouldn't be surprised if he was never given a vision but obtained powers though his experiments, just like how he completely overturned the concept of time by himself with his fragments
Whatever happened to the 10th Harbinger seat, and do you think it could be tied to Skirk? After all, she was shown in th 5.X releases and left Teyvat after a specific loss, developing powers different from the 7 elements afterwards, which could tie her to Nod-Krai?
Just so you know, we might not access to Snezhnaya main city before 7.0 (according to leaks)…
7.0 huh, I felt so sure we would see it for 6.0, considering how quickly Natlan got rid of Natlan-related things. Ochkanatlan released REALLY early compared to the other lore bombs of other nations (like Remuria and Sumeru's desert) which released really late in their patches, and Mare Jivari can't be older. So it felt like they got it all out of the way to start cooking with Snez from 5.3 to 6.0

Thanks a lot man, nice to see you're still around!
i want columbina to come collect the gnosis but its probably going to be dottore
I'd like either of them (I enjoy that Dottore is genuinely a horrible human being) but I could see it being someone else entirely too. Maybe Pantalone or Pulci? Mavuika doesn't need the Gnosis to stabilize Natlan anymore, so there's room to negotiate like in Liyue
@@SerAoth pantalone would be nice, pulci is snezhnaya´s major, i doubt he´ll leave
@@SerAoth Me, who saw the leaks and who knows a lot of cryptic Dottore lore: 🌚
@@dafloo5326 Genshin can make up reasons for anything, but Pantalone coming would be cool, since he's "weak" in terms of combat abilities, it also contrasts Capitano really well, to face the Warrior™Archon

Thank you for being entertained by the peak of my editing skills
i wish they give Varka the same designe as capitano
Absolutely, or one that follows the many fan concepts for him, inspired by Arundolyn, dual wielding claymores
Need armour.. or a half armour shoulder plate and Special Favonious 5 star Greatsword 💯also, being from monshtad he could be Anemo or an new element like skirks.. but my C6 Shenhe hopes he's Cryo 😅❄️
@@ArtemisTGM Varka = Armor + dual claymore. I will NOT have it another way, especially not when Noelle is the most armored character in the whole game. I feel like as the Knight of Boreas, he has to be anemo
Wait did i miss something or wasn't his real name Thrain? Or was it simply the name he used when he fought for Natlan 500 years ago? Anyways, such a goated character. Have saved up like 500 fates for him and will keep on saving. I will hold on to the hope that he will become playable until the end.
Him being Thrain is indeed the mainstream theory for his name, with the past references to a warrior of Natlan. I connect the dots to Hadura, as Capitano mentions he had been to multiple places other than Natlan, and his execution took place at the same time. Capitano could be Hadura, given a fake execution due to his honorable service, but dismissed for having used his heart for reasons other than the initial purpose (which was the reason for the execution), on top of the matching titles as commander/sentinel Oh and good luck to us both for his arrival. Surely it will come
@@SerAoth yea I just kinda assumed that his name was Thrain because one of the NPC said that her father told her about Thrain, the "Sentinel Knight". And also because Capitano was about to say something along the lines of "Th" when asked for his name and the pronounciation of "The" and "Th" he was going to say was a bit different. But anyways, awesome video. I really like your editing style and the inclusion of captions was also a nice touch. Btw your uid is still visible when the screen is fading black, just wanted to let you know that.
@@TimeWager I don't mean to discard the theory about Thrain, it's very logical considering the norse-sound of the name, like all other Khaenri'ahns being norse mythology figures. However, I like bringing new ideas; Hadura, in Hungarian mythology, is said to be a honorable man with long hair, suited in armor and well armed, and sometimes tied to divine fire. The name itself means "Commander" I believe, interesting ties isn't it? Also thanks a lot, I'm glad my experiments with the editing are being noticed, though figures I would FRICK something up with something, happens

Flexing all the wrong chars (i cut off diluc from the capture)
What did you think about Capitano's presence in the AQ? And what "deep secrets related to the world" do you think Varka is investigating?
There's one small mistake in this video : Ronova did not allow Capitano to trigger the paradox. She actually forsook the rule of death. If you check the travel log in the archives, it says this : "To sustain the curse of immortality, the Ruler of Death relinquishes her demand for the price of 'death'. " But yea, overall Fontaine and Sumeru is still above Natlan for me. Still kinda disappointed that the "Life of a descender is more valuable than you can imagine" from the trailer never went anywhere in the story. Also expected Xbalanque to act differently than how we saw him in Mavuika's SQ due to how he is reffered to in our Ancient Name. Speaking of Ancient Name, i think our dialogue (Only then, did the universe know light) kinda references Phanes a bit. You know since God said "Let there be light" and Phanes is supposed to be the Genshin equivalent of a biblical god.
Thanks for pointing out the issue, it seems I've expressed myself poorly: by mentioning the trigger of the "paradox" I was highlighting the clash between the curse of immortality (which Ronova says is the one that must stand) conflicting with the price of death that Capitano created, even if he didn't get to disturb the whole of Teyvat... unfortunately. It would've really turned Natlan's final act upside down. I also target this rule of death being broken with my thumbnail, as it's still a major blow at the natural order of Teyvat, since the rules of life, death, time, space and possibly reason are absolute, like the Lord of the Night said. Still, I hope to see consequences for a Shade's rules having been broken by a human, the HP are usually pretty severe with that. First civilization and all... Regarding the previous AQ, Sumeru's beginning was really slow, but overall it tackled quite heavy topics for not just Teyvat, and Fontaine there's absolutely no debate, considering the Fontemer and all. The line about a Descender's life was, not mincing words, really a blueball: nothing more than a forgettable one-liner thrown by a figure influenced by the Abyss' nihilism. And you make a good final point, in my previous videos I've theorized ties between the Traveler and Phanes. In orphic and greek mythology, Aether and Hemera (Lumine) are both primordial deities tied to light that come after Phanes' and its four shades following the creation of the universe, descendants of Nyx, the shade of all that is negative, which matches with Ronova the most. Fun fact if you play HSR: Still in mythology, Caelus is the son of Aether
Natland Archon story suck
I feel like it was a tad behind Fontaine story as a whole, but I liked the weight of the war in 5.1 and 5.2. Why did you dislike it?
@@SerAoth I would rank fontaine first then sumeru then natlan, personally. I didnt mind the themes of natlan but I feel like the story was too straightforward and the archon wasnt developed nearly as much as someone like furina/ nahida or even venti. feels a bit unfortunate that the only human archon feels like the most flawless and can do no wrong, while the rest feel more human despite not being any. the war arc had a bit of execution problems but was a great concept and was done really well, almost too well as it felt way more impactful then the final boss fight im always interested to hear other opinions and perspectives though
@@dragonkyuu Mavuika did have a good, heavy backstory, unfortunately you need to step out of the game and look at the cinematics and trailers on youtube, and to me that's a bad way to deliver. Compare to Furina's character writing: it's impeccable, you don't need any outside sources, you get to feel for her and experience her struggle from her first misleading appearance to the last with her final tears. It's a shame that you see Mavuika's humanity only in that cinematic of hers, where she truly seems defeated and lost, no fire left in her eyes. And right after that cinematic comes the present, where she is constantly in control and sure of herself, it needs to have been shown in game as well that she wasn't ALWAYS mentally strong. I do like the difference in Mavuika's humanity, as all other Archons dissociated from their people (by choice or not), she has no choice but to stand with humans, as a human, in front of the war (which really was the spotlight of Natlan I agree), but she feels too perfect if you miss out on her backstory
20:37 honestly while im sad he died I dont mind his sacrifice either. it had such weight and importance that I can see why it happened, but im very unhappy with how it was handled. since the beginning capitano has constantly been hyped up as this super important guy, but then he shows up, loses a fight, runs away, hovers around hands out medicine then walks in on the angel and dies. its so underwhelming compared to what it couldve been. capitano sacrificing himself was honestly extremely obvious and even more so because of mavuika herself. nobody ever thought shed die permanently and capitano being the only non natln non playable (regretably) side npc, was THE obvious choice to take her place, so I wish theyd have focused less on it being a plot twist and instead something explained from the beginning. instead of having capitano walk out at the end, show us his conversation with the angel and have her say something like "yeah that could work but think about it carefully bc challenging heaven itself isnt a great idea" and then show ororon discovering capitanos condition and show capitano suffering because of all these souls. emphasise how much this means to the order of the world and then have mavuikas side constantly worrying about mavuikas impending death, then have mavuika be resolute in the face of it WHILE showing that she doesnt actually want to die but her will of sacrifice is heavier then her will to live, THEN do the capitano switch as something that was built up and inevitable, and maybe use it as mavuika finally realizing she can rely on others instead of trying to do everything herself, or something idk this is just what I came up with on the spot but the whole sacrifice feels so meaningless as is despite it meaning a lot lore wise
True, he's the first of the Fatui but he loses a duel, although not against anybody and does quite well, and honorably accepts his defeat. He didn't run away however, he was going to keep on fighting but Ororon forcefully pulled him back (you can see 10 frames or so where you can see Capitano getting back up and readying an attack), but it's true that he's been really sidelined, when you compare to Arlecchino who unarguably didn't have much presence, until she had her relevance be made impossible to ignore, especially revealing her ties to the Crimson Moon. Though we're still early in the 5.x patches, I really doubt they would let Capitano go like this. I agree, the handling wasn't the best, I was able to theorize it when I don't interact with reddit, discord and didn't use wikis at the time, it says how obvious it was. It would indeed have been a smarter approach of it to show Capitano preparing himself for the sacrifice, having us (the player, not the Traveler) know about it directly, opening his character and struggle to us, but no one else would know so it would have a heavier toll, knowing everything he's been through instead of just "i'm tired so i have to die now", grossly summarized. As it is, he's right at the limit of having been used as a convenient disposal tool to not kill the yearly Archon revenue, but they delivered more on him in the cinematic that released yesterday than anything he did in the archon quest. That cinematic really felt so heavy, I'm glad I got to add it to my video instead of rushing the production
it felt so sad that arlecchino was given more space to "feel" strong by attacking us and making the hydro dragon wary just by coming in for tea... capitano did so much on paper but when taken apart he really just had more flashy moments than anything else... I feel like him losing to mavuika wouldve also felt a lot better if they had established how strong she actually was beforehand via visuals for the fight to feel more impactful but alas. theres no way his story is finished we didnt see him go all out or even use any second phase to speak of
@@dragonkyuu I'm sure they wouldn't forsake the First of the Fatui so easily, considering the MAJOR reveal Arlecchino had with the Crimson Moon, he needs to have more. Again proves that the Fatui ranking is not a power-ranking, but man I do want to see what the 0-3 Fatuis have in stock for what's ahead of us, especially Columbina having all those biblical angel features
theory time! I think capitano might be playable later: so in the final quest guthred showed up in the night kingdom, right, and at the end of the quest it ended on the travelers story being told to the children. (this is yikes bc that might make us part of irmansul...lmao) but this guthred showing up is very suspicious to me. the last inbetween quest/ event we had, that was supposed to foreshadow natlan in simulanka, had a major storybook theme and was demonstrating the power of stories. then they showed guthred, a soul who wasnt THE guthred but instead a manifestation of guthred as seen by others. the childrens story at the end further solidifies this connection. mavuika then mentions nod-krai and dottore, as the devs I believe have confirmed that dottore burning irmansul will happen at some point. now the thing is, the pyro gnosis is still with mavuika. there is no chance natlan is finished just yet. so now what we have is dottore (hes associated with mechanical beings and does human experiments, had his own "segments" that were stuck in time and could think for themselves) and we have a pyro gnosis and we have a LIVING capitano body with no soul I think its highly likely they will revive "capitano" as the STORY version like guthred, with capitanos real soul being at peace but because his body is still under the influence of the curse of immortality, it is possibly the most interesting research subject dottore could ever think of and I suspect dottore will try revive the strongest fighter among humanity, capitano and that version might be playable capitano is effectively gone but hoyo decided to animate his body breathing on the throne, while it would be much cheaper to have him be still. I think that is foreshadowing to the body being used in the future you could even take it a step further, and say the reaosn capitano had so little screen time and time in the spotlight was to keep this air of mystery around him, to alienate both the traveler and us from who he really is and what he is like, forcing us to use legends and stories to determite who he is. this could be foreshadowing that OUR capitano is that very person described in the legends, as a manifestation of all stories around capitano, and that our experiences with him were kept short on purpose because they rather want to emphasise his legend over him himself. (as you can tell I am coping MASSIVELY and im even trying to rationalise the sidelining but yk)
I love the capium but I also like how it makes sense, I can see this happen with Hoyo's tendency to give is a very clear story for us to predict and then uproot it. It's true regarding the breathing, unless you consider the part that breathing is part of his base model and they simply took that model to sit it down without removing the breathing. If you look at it from this angle, removing the breathing would've been the least cheap option instead of just making him sit down, right? But overall the Lord of the Night says it, he was freed from "the mortal coil", so his soul left his body which remains immortal, like you suggested I believe. Overall I really love your approach on stories, but we've already entered the stories of Teyvat from the human mind and every time we are referred to from an alias (Honorary Knight, Sage of Buer, Tumaini...) and never "the Tabibitraveler" so I'm certain it keeps our "privacy" clear from Irminsul, otherwise Nahida would've already told us there is data on us 2 years ago, that's my take at least. Still, it doesn't discard your approach, only on the one of a Descender And to be fair I really like your playability theory because Capitano "died" with a heavy meaning for himself. He was tired and had a revenge to take. If the "real" Capitano were to just be revived, it would kill the deep meaning of his sacrifice, which would really suck and feel like bad writing, considering how much quality had improved since Fontaine and Furina's story. Overall, Capitano really isn't finished like I said, because we still don't even know his real name and his short animation, we can see his mask is bloodstained. I NEED CLOSURE ON MY BLOODSTAINED KNIGHT THEORY. I truly hope your way of making him playable happens, it would avoid desecrating his sacrifice edit: typo
@@SerAoth oh now that you mention it I wonder how far the storytelling aspect will go. if all our "legends" are recorded in the irmansul as guthreds story form? like theres a mysterious traveler whos just there and then theres this legendary figure whos the first sage of buer, the first to defeat the raiden shogun in a duel etc etc. in bedtime story the traveler did make a specific point that only the twins use aether/ lumine for their name and they otherwise use traveler, I wonder if that was set up for this purpose. either way capitano coming back would be kinda cheapening his death a bit but I do think this story theory makes the most thematic sense with what we've been shown so far, and its also interesting that dottore is right after caitano again it just feels like too good of a setup to not go through with. also very hyped to see columbina and sneznaya soon!
ser aoth back again!!
21:17 one day we will achive it

Perhaps, I'm honestly not sure if people care for story summaries and want only the crispy quick facts but I like making this more accessible for everyone so they get the whole picture
